Youth Empowerment Program

STRIVE has created a youth training program based on our successful core attitudinal training model. Our new course is entitled as the Youth Empowerment Program which is tailored to provided training and job place youth from the ages of 17 - 21. This program endeavors to be the answer to properly training youth at a critical stage in their life. It is during this time where foundation can be laid to result in a committed, well-established and maintained strong work ethic. These are the details and schedule of our youth training:

Would you like to work?

Flint STRIVE is officially designated by the U.S. Social Security Administration as an Employment Network thus, making STRIVE a Ticket to Work Agency.

What is the Ticket to Work Program?    

The Ticket to Work Program offers Social Security Administration disability beneficiaries greater choice in obtaining the services they need to help them go to work and achieve their employment goals.

Under the Ticket Program, you can receive employment services, vocational services or other services to help you go to work or to earn more money. These services will be provided by FLINT STRIVE, who has agreed to work with the Social Security Administration in providing employment services to beneficiaries with disabilities.

Work incentives include:                                

v      Cash benefits while you work

v      Medicare or Medicaid while you work

v      Help with any extra work expenses you may have as a result of your disability
